Covid 19 Measures

We are keeping all these measures in place after July 19th 2021 in accordance with the Government’s Best Practice Advice. If you feel the measures are onerous, please place your booking with another establishment. Thank you.

- We are not running at full capacity to allow for social distancing.

- Our Cancelation Policy is suspended so guests can cancel up to and including their arrival date should they feel unwell.

- Please advise check-in times so we can stagger them to avoid queuing.

- Guests are required to wear facemasks in all common areas including when entering the dining room. Obviously, they are not required while eating breakfast.

- Keys are sterilised between use.

- Anti-Bacterial/Virus handwash dispensers are placed in all rooms, at the top and the bottom of the staircase, in the entrance hall, and in the dining room.

- Breakfasts are staggered to allow social distancing. The menu is reduced and there is no buffet. Orders for breakfast are to be placed with Sue or Simon the night before.

- In order to minimize interaction, rooms are not serviced whilst guests are in residence. Fresh milk in a thermos and water in a bottle are left outside room doors at 6pm. Additional room beverages are provided on a daily basis if requested.

- Hair dryers, fans, shower caps, sewing kits, make-up remover, hot water bottles and bathroom robes are no longer provided in the rooms but are available on request.

- Guests are asked to leave a window in their room open on departure.

- Where possible rooms are left empty for at least 24 hours after use and enhanced Covid-19 compliant cleaning of rooms is carried out between bookings.

- Communal area fittings such as light switches and stair bannisters are cleaned at set times throughout the day.

- Staff are required to do a Lateral Flow Test twice a week and to wear masks and gloves where necessary.

- The material curtains for the four-poster bed in Room 6 have been removed in order to comply with Covid regulations. Here are pictures of the room without the drapes.
